Dig Deep at Lewisburg Haunted Cave
Halloween is approaching, and that means HAUNT season is here! Haunted attractions across the country are opening, and I’m here to tell you about a very unique experience over in Ohio.
In Lewisburg, between Dayton and the Indiana border, lies a limestone Cavern where things aren’t quite right. This is Lewisburg Haunted Cave, a haunted attraction that’s been running since the 1970’s and is still going strong.
Brave souls who enter the Cave will be faced with a trial for their very souls. “If there is one unifying element throughout, it is that your soul is being tested,” said General Manager Jarred Huist. Confrontations with beings from the underworld can be expected, along with the attending fire and brimstone, culminating in a final conflict that’ll blow your mind.
Most of all, this is a real-deal Cave, 80-feet underground. “Most haunts have to make rooms and sets dark,” Jarred said, “We have to add light to ours, otherwise it would be completely pitch black. It is a very loud and intense experience.”
This is a 45 minute long walking tour deep underground, with water, wildlife, and all of the usual things you find in a Cave. You just have the addition of a ton of things designed to scare the hell out of you as you get deeper and deeper underground!

And brand new in 2023, guests can get tickets online before coming out to the haunt so they can skip the lines at the box office. LHC never sells out, and anyone in line before midnight gets into the haunt, so grabbing tickets ahead of time just saves you that much trouble.
