Ripley’s Welcomes Fright Nights to Gatlinburg

Most of us are familiar with Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, founded by the great Robert Ripley in the early 20th century. Seeking oddities and the fantastic around the globe, Ripley became directly associated with all things seemingly unreal and unbelievable for the last century.
Today, Ripley’s has aquariums, attractions, and museums all over the world, offering guests a look into wonders they’ve never seen before.
This fall, at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg, TN, Ripley’s ushers in Fright Nights, a fun-filled experience in terror. Year-round, guests can walk through this haunted attraction and be scared out of their wits by Ripley’s special blend of nightmares…real and fantastic. This year for the Halloween season, the Haunted Adventure will be amped up to new levels of terror with extra ghastly characters and special effects to enhance the fear for everyone brave enough to enter.

This years’ experience has been entirely renovated, featuring bigger, better, and scarier thrills than ever before. This is a brand-new Haunted Adventure the world has never seen, with all-new scenes, themes and characters. It is opening its doors to capture screams from the most hardy explorers as they face the unknown.
Inside, you’ll meet some of the employees of the Grimsby Mortuary, and perhaps some of their past clients. Armonia Grimsby might be lurking about in between gravedigging jobs, while her brother, Arthur Jr., busies himself with selling caskets to those in need. Meanwhile, the Countess oversees the business and welcomes all inside with a smile that might just be a little too warm. For those without enough warm bodies to mourn them, Madame Orlok is for hire to weep over your casket.
Elsewhere, you could run into several entities from the swamps of South Louisiana. Rumors of a pale young woman who does not age abound, spotted deep in the night along the Bayou. They call her Nightfang, and wise men flee from her. A mysterious figure only known as The Jackal has also run into those brave or foolish enough to enter the swamps. Beware, lest his secrets and tales lure you to a place you cannot escape. Most terrifying of all, a dark soul named Damien Streaper roams the boggy environs. Streaper is a magician well-versed in swamp magic; he seeks souls to steal and bodies to torture.

The scares at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg, TN, begin Fridays and Saturdays at 4:00 PM and run until close, and on Sundays from 1:00 PM to close. It is guaranteed to be a night full of fun, and fear.
The Halloween season is coming soon to the Smoky Mountains, and Fright Nights is preparing to leave you scared stiff. Make plans now to get to Gatlinburg and experience this event!
