Sadly, I have not seen Black Mirror: Bandersnatch as of yet (because I’m “that guy”), but I can tell you that one of the video games seen in the new season is indeed a real thing. In fact, you can play it.

Provided you have a ZX Spectrum emulator.

The studio in the new season started by Stefan, Tuckersoft, now has its own website, including a summary of all of the games the company has released. This includes Metl Hedd and Pig in a Poke, which are both references to previous episodes in the series.

While those aren’t playable (Bandersnatch included), the one that is playable is Nohzdyve, a free-falling game where you avoid hazards and collect eyeballs. The website lists the game as being “abruptly cancelled”, and that “the world will have to wonder what Nohzdyve was like”. However, you can grab the game via this link, which results in you downloading a .tap file. In order to play the game, you’ll have to grab a ZX Spectrum emulator like Fuse.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is available now on Netflix.
