I’m all for this approach to voice packs that Rage 2 has going on. First, we have an NBA commentator, now we have a cockney soap opera star.
The latest one is very much focused on a UK audience, so I will totally understand our American audience not really being quite so interested, but in a delightfully bizarre announcement, top TV cockney geezer/muppet (delete as applicable) Danny Dyer can be the voice of the player character in the post-apocalyptic shooter.
In keeping for Dyer, his voice work is especially profanity-laden. You can hear for yourself in the ‘Diamond Geezer Cheat Code’ trailer below.
It’s not the first time Dyer has featured in a video game, as he was the voice of Kent Paul in GTA Vice City and San Andreas. He has some horror cred too, having starred in Severance and Doghouse (both of which are decent comedy horror films).
Rage 2 is out May 14 on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
