The Forsaken Lands Rise Again In Goshen

Back in the 1950’s, the quiet little town of Ridgeway, CT sat on the edge of a large wooded area. The small highway nearby provided plenty of business for the various establishments built to service travelers in the area. A few family farms also kept people employed. It was a small place, but it was their place, and the people of Ridgeway were happy.
Then, the Mortons came. Nobody knows where they originated, but once they hit Ridgeway they made it clear that they were there to stay. Lead by patriarch Clyde, they began purchasing or just driving out existing businesses. Clyde and his clan grabbed every inch of land they could, all while telling anyone within earshot of the teachings found in The Word of Ezra. A horrible combination of gospel and grimoire, The Word Of Ezra was their scripture carved in flesh. Their butcher’s shop, Morton’s Meats, was more than a provider of fresh protein. It provided their beliefs in blood and blade.
By 1956, the Mortons had claimed or converted the entire town. Ridgeway was theirs.

Now, Ridgeway has been reborn in Goshen, CT. Rising out of the mists, all of the old fixtures of Ridgeway life are out in the woods, waiting to be discovered and explored. The thing is, that land is swarming with the Morton family and their converts. They look to follow The Word Of Ezra and soak this new land with the blood of those foolish enough to wander into Ridgeway. You won’t find a room to sleep in at the Fieldside Motel. There’s no help to be had at Al’s Auto Repair. You won’t get a hot meal at Dan’s Diner. Kiwi’s Fun Fair is Boyd Morton’s place, Kiwi is his clown name. He’s the only one who has fun there.
There’s more left to Ridgeway. There are other members of the Morton clan. There are whispers in the region that The Word Of Ezra has begun to take effect and bring about atrocities beyond our understanding. What’s certain is that the danger is growing. Clyde Morton couldn’t be happier.

Relocated to Goshen this season, The Forsaken Lands is a massive outdoor haunted attraction with deep lore and a huge variety of experiences to be explored. All of the locations mentioned above and more are waiting on the path for you to encounter during your visit. You can expect Hollywood-level effects, costumes, and sets.
Two unique events at The Forsaken Lands are their Blackout Night on November 1st, where all lights are extinguished for a pitch black excursion into terror. Also, they have an Xtreme night on October 10th when everything goes insane. You will be touched, you might be separated from your group, you could be blindfolded or tied to an object, you could even be squirted with…liquids. Clearly, Xtreme night is only for the boldest lovers of haunted attractions! Only visitors 18 and older with ID can sign a waiver and enjoy the complete experience of Xtreme night. Anyone below 18 cannot be touched and will experience a less intense experience.
Beyond the Xtreme night, this is a haunt that clearly warns in underlined capital letters on their website that they are NOT a family-friendly attraction! The Mortons mean business, and business is graphic, terrifying stuff.

The Forsaken Lands has just two ticket options: general admission for $30 and Fast Pass to skip some of the line for $40. They only have a very limited number of tickets available at the ticket booth, so buy your tickets in advance to guarantee your entry!
It’s completely clear that The Forsaken Lands, with its new, expanded location and focus on full-tilt haunting bent on scaring us to death, is something everyone has to experience if they can get to Goshen, and Ridgeway. Make sure you say hello to Ripley when you pass through. You’ll recognize him, part of his face is gone, sacrificed to Ezra. Whatever he rasps at you is certain to be prophetic evidence of Ezra’s power. Listen close. If you can’t escape, they may offer you salvation through servitude.
