‘BrokenLore: DON’T LIE’ Launches September 10 on PC, Consoles; Steam Demo Available Now [Trailer]
Off Black Creations and Oro Interactive’s subterranean psychological horror title MOLE is out now on Steam, complete with the previously-advertised 10% discount that’s on until June 29.
“Thank you to everyone who played the demo, playtested, and motivated us through this journey,” reads the update from the devteam. “We are incredibly excited for you check it out.”
Drawing on themes of religion, madness, and guilt, MOLE takes place in the eponymous colossal drilling machine deep beneath post-war Slavic soil, where you are the Navigator. Unfortunately, the crew is gone, the vessel is silent, and the Signal won’t stop calling. Your objective is simple: Keep the machine running at all costs.
Players are expected to figure out the machine’s failing systems and do their best to survive what might end up being their casket. No need to worry too much, as operating and maintaining the Mole’s complex systems is done through hands-on interaction. You’ll solve problems using in-world tools, interfaces, and machinery.
Of course, you’ll also need to survive the depths of the Earth as isolation and madness blur your reality. Along your journey, you’ll uncover fragments of your past as memories resurface and decisions echo back, along with the mystery behind your missing crew.
If you’re on the fence about MOLE, and didn’t get the chance to check out the demo prior to its release, Aaron reviewed the game prior to launch, touting it as a “great psychological horror game” for fans of Iron Lung and MOUTHWASHING.
