Remember back in January Antistatic Studios teased a new paranormal shooter codenamed HORNET? That has turned out to be Phantom Line, which has just released a new trailer during the Future Games Show at Gamescom, showcasing the game’s gameplay.

In Phantom Line, you are a member of an elite spec-op unit, working for a megacorp called Mortfield Industries. Specifically, you‘ve been selected for the Operator Simulation Program called H.U.S.K. where you can transfer your consciousness between artificial bodies. You must tactically employ these bodies: scout, distract, place decoys, or utilize many other strategies and commands to gain an advantage over the lurking horrors known as Anomalies. The world is full of these paranormal creatures and phenomena, which are hidden from the public. Leaking into our world through rifts in the space-time fabric, it’s your job to contain these extremely dangerous events.

To add even more “fun” to the mix, nuclear war has just broken out, and you are sent to the disputed Iron Corridor – an Eastern European region torn by international tensions. You’ll need to be self-sufficient should you become cut off, and improvise as necessary. That includes hunting and cooking the wild animals found in the area to maintain your health.

An icebreaker ship, with a nuclear engine, will be your base of operations. With your team, you can customize your H.U.S.K. and cabin, showcase your weapons and armors to your friends, as well as modify your gear and body for your next anomaly hunt.

If you’re keen on checking Phantom Line out, you can head on over to the developer’s Discord and the official website to fill out your info to get in on the testing.
