Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game is headed our way next year, and we had been promised that the game would introduce brand new slasher villains.

It’s a tradition in the franchise for new sequels to feature new family members and the upcoming video game is no exception, with two of those characters previewed this week.

Brought to our attention by GameSpot this afternoon, Gun Interactive has introduced the villainous characters Johnny and Sissy today, who have been newly co-created by original Texas Chain Saw Massacre co-writer Kim Henkel! Johnny and Sissy join Leatherface, the Hitchhiker, and the Cook in the roster of villains next year’s game will force us to contend with.

GameSpot details, “The pair were created by Gun in collaboration with Kim Henkel, the movie’s original screenwriter and rightsholder. Their inclusion in the game means each of the two “teams” in any given round will include a full roster of five characters to choose from, with the game ultimately played in a 4v3 setup where victims outnumber the killers just slightly.”

Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) provided the motion capture and voice for Sissy, while Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night) has provided the voice of Johnny.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be launching in 2023 on Playstation®4, Playstation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and will be launching into Game Pass on Xbox and PC. The events will take place *before* Tobe Hooper’s original classic.

Kane Hodder is playing Leatherface, and Ed Neal, who played the Hitchhiker in Tobe Hooper’s original horror classic, will be reprising the role in the upcoming game.

Here’s the plot synopsis: “A group of five young adults led by Ana Flores set out to search for her missing sister. What they found was terror beyond their wildest nightmares.”
