‘Escape Room’ Director Adam Robitel Will Helm a Supernatural Thriller for Sony, Produced by Sam Raimi
In the wake of this year’s Escape Room, Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan, Insidious: The Last Key) is on board to direct next year’s sequel, and he’s also just landed a gig directing an untitled supernatural thriller for Sony. Deadline reports that Sam Raimi will produce.
The site notes, “The project, to be directed by Robitel and written by Gavin Heffernan, is only known as a supernatural thriller at this point in time, with the storyline under wraps.”
“Ghost House is thrilled to partner again with Sony Pictures, and to work for the first time with the enormously talented Adam Robitel. From the moment Adam and Gavin pitched me their vision for the movie, I knew that this would be an exciting and terrifying experience for the audience,” said Raimi.
Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce through Ghost House Pictures.
