Deep Silver ruffled a few feathers when they had announced that their shooter Metro Exodus was going to be an Epic Games Store exclusive little more than three weeks out from its release. Since then, other games have made the jump, including Gearbox’s upcoming Borderlands 3.
However, a listing for the game has now appeared on the Windows Store with a release date of June 9. This is obviously well before the intended 2020 release of the game on Steam.
This is also interesting when it comes to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, which Microsoft recently announced will launch on PC. The release date for Metro Exodus on June 9th also aligns with the date of Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference.
It’s not known when the Game Pass will launch for PC, but if it does launch during that press conference, the timing can’t be a coincidence when it comes to Metro Exodus.
