Chucky Holds a Giant Knife in Teaser Image for ‘Child’s Play’ Trailer, Arriving Thursday
As we suspected, the trailer for MGM and Orion’s Child’s Play remake will be premiering in theaters on Thursday, attached to Orion’s The Prodigy, and it looks like you’ll indeed have to buy a ticket to The Prodigy in order to see it. According to a tweet from the film’s official account tonight, it’ll arrive “exclusively in theaters,” so don’t expect it online Thursday.
Check out a new teaser image for the new Chucky (aka “Buddi”) doll below.
Chucky returns to the big screen on June 21, 2019.
Child’s Play follows a mother (Aubrey Plaza) who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
The cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos (FOX’s “The Exorcist”), Ty Consiglio (Wonder) and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”). Lars Klevberg directed the film.
Klevberg directs from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury) screenplay based on the original movie. The film is produced by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith under their KatzSmith Productions banner (It, It: Chapter 2). Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson are executive producing. Kitsos and Consiglio are both represented by The Characters Talent Agency.
