[Trailer] ‘My Pet Dinosaur’ Combines ‘E.T.’ With ‘Jurassic Park’ and It’s Coming in October
Nostalgia is all the rage in the entertainment industry right now, particularly 1980s nostalgia. Those who grew up in the ’80s are now at an age where they’re fondly looking back on all the awesome movies, shows, and toys we had back then, and countless new movies have come along and attempted to tap into those magical feels.
My Pet Dinosaur, well, it’s doing the trick for me so far.
Directed by the Emmy-nominated Matt Drummond (Dinosaur Island), this year’s My Pet Dinosaur evokes the feeling of an ’80s Amblin film. It’s got kids riding bicycles, evil government agents, and of course, a creature not of this world that those kids are trying to protect from those government agents. But it’s not an alien. It’s a fast-growing dinosaur.
“When a boy finds the remnants of a failed military experiment his troubled town is plunged further into chaos as he accidentally makes a new friend.”
Jordan Dulieu, Annabel Wolfe, Christopher Gabardi and Tiriel Mora star.
My Pet Dinosaur arrives on Digital 10/2 and DVD 11/6 from Uncork’d Entertainment.
