Given its box office success, critical acclaim and the fact that it won a freakin’ Academy Award, it’s probably a guarantee that we’ll eventually be seeing a sequel to Jordan Peele’s Get Out. Peele has a few times in the past year mentioned that he’d probably be up for it, most recently noting back in February that he’ll “seriously consider it.”
He added at the time, “I love that universe and feel like there’s more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.”
Speaking with Variety this week, producer Jason Blum noted that he’d be 100% on board with a sequel to Get Out… but only if Jordan Peele is the one making it.
“If Jordan wants to do a sequel, I’ll do it in a second, but it has to come from Jordan Peele,” Blum told the site. “I think he’s flirting with the idea.”
In the meantime, Jordan Peele is working on Us, another original horror film that’s set for release on March 15, 2019.
