Introducing a greatest hits line is usually a sign that a console is nearing “that point” of a life cycle. Still, it also gives you a chance to grab some surefire hits for a bargain price. That’s exactly what Sony is doing with its first batch of PlayStation Hits. Announced on PlayStation Blog, the initial 15 titles will retail for 19.99USD/CAD/GBP each, and will sport red cases like the PlayStation 3’s Greatest Hits line. The titles will get their price drop beginning on June 28 in the US and Canada, with more being added in the future. Europe will get their batch July 18th, with 20 titles being given the drop.
Unfortunately, in Canada, all but one of the titles announced for the US will be available. DOOM will be the odd one out.
For genre fans, the first batch includes DOOM, Bloodborne and The Last of Us Remastered in North America (save for the Canadian exception), while Europe gets Mortal Kombat X with a discount.
