Antlers and “Servant” writer Henry Chaisson is making his feature directorial debut on the gothic horror-thriller Recluse, currently in post-production.
Sasha Frolova (The Empty Man) stars as Joan, a solitary audio engineer who returns to her family’s decaying country estate after receiving a call from her ailing father, an acclaimed but reclusive artist rumored to have dabbled in the occult.
Unearthing a malevolent secret decades in the making, Joan must determine whether the horrors she faces are the product of her father’s misdeeds or her own troubled mind.
Mia Vallet (“Believe”), Xander Berkeley (Candyman), Kimball Farley, Toby Poser (Hellbender), Frankie Seratch, Gillian Cooper, and Christine Nyland round out the cast.
Josh Lobo, Gillian Cooper, Rowan Russell, and Alex Dandino produce under their Restricted Pictures banner alongside Chaisson, Katharina Windemuth, Bruno Corbin, Jayda Park, Andrew Merrill, and Beth Crudele. Chaisson, Windemuth, Lobo, Cooper, Frankie Seratch, and Cailla O’Shea executive produce.
