ParaNorman is returning to theaters this Halloween, newly remastered for RealD 3D and 2D formats, for a one-week engagement.
Laika’s 2012 stop-motion animated film will open on October 25 via Fathom Entertainment. It will also be released in international markets beginning October 23 from Trafalgar Releasing.
The film will be accompanied by a new, CG-animated short, ParaNorman: The Thrifting, starring Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”) and Anna Kendrick reprising her role of Norman’s older sister, Courtney Babcock.
The short is written by Chris Butler, who wrote and co-directed ParaNorman with Sam Fell, and directed by LAIKA lead character designer Thibault LeClercq.

In ParaNorman, Norman is a boy who must use his ability to see and speak with the dead to save his town from a centuries-old curse. In addition to spooky zombies, he’ll also have to take on mysterious ghosts, wily witches, and, worst of all, clueless grown-ups. But this young ghoul whisperer will soon find his paranormal abilities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
