The follow-up to Steel Mantis’ 2016 bloody action platformer Slain: Back From Hell in Slain 2: The Beast Within will be coming later this year. Silver Lining Interactive will once again be handling publishing duties for Slain 2, which is coming to PC via Steam.
Slain 2: The Beast Within plunges you into a world consumed by darkness and carnage. Players assume the role of Prince Akran, last of the Wolf Knights, a blood-bound warrior imbued with the feral power of the Beast. Armed with the sentient sword Bathoryn, players will carve through monstrosities and wage war against the abyss itself.
Akran’s path is paved with peril. Venture through three brutal quests, with each featuring their own sinister landscapes, twisted lore, and nightmarish foes. Sail ghostly seas, storm haunted castles, and descend into the abyss to claim the sacred relics: The Eye, The Heart, and The Dagger.
Cleave through horrors with brutal melee strikes and deadly counterattacks in a visceral dance of steel and slaughter. Bathoryn grants you dominion over fire, ice, and raw devastation, letting you carve a path of destruction through the abyss.
If that wasn’t enough, Prince Akran is gifted (or cursed, depending on your view) with lycanthropy, allowing you to transform into a nightmarish werewolf, ripping enemies apart limb from limb with blinding speed and merciless fury.
