Following the exciting news that Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures have overseen a brand new 4K UHD of Stuart Gordon’s Re-Animator, we’ve got an exclusive clip of stars Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs, as well as producer Brian Yuzna, reacting to the “remarkable” new restoration.
The 40th anniversary celebration restoration of Re-Animator is available in four editions, including an Ultimate Limited Edition Boxset, all of which contain new and previously released legacy extras, including interviews, commentaries, video essays, deleted scenes to name but a few.
Starring Crampton and Combs, the latter as a medical student who has invented a serum which can re-animate deceased bodies, 1985’s Re-Animator went on to spawn sequels, musicals, comics and more.
Previously speaking, Yuzna had this to say of the upcoming release:
“I’m excited about the 40th Anniversary 4K UHD Blu-ray release of Re-Animator — it looks great! Especially if you have a big screen! An excellent restoration, it is like seeing it for the first time again. Stuart Gordon would have been super proud, and so happy that Re-Animator is still connecting with horror audiences and that this restoration is re-animating the movie in all its glorious madness – just as Herbert West intended!”
