In what fans are hoping is a sign of things to come for the Legacy of Kain franchise, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics have launched Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Released just in time for Soul Reaver’s 25th anniversary, this new collection contains the expected improved visuals, revamped controls & other enhancements for a modern audience.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered is the perfect opportunity for long-time series fans and newcomers alike to immerse themselves in Kain and Raziel’s epic conflict. Players can toggle on-the-fly between the games’ original visuals and remastered graphics, and enjoy improved controls. There are also new features such as an in-game map and compass, a photo mode, achievements and more!

If you’re unfamiliar with the games, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver centres around Raziel, one of Kain’s lieutenant vampires in the land of Nosgoth. Kain betrays and executes Raziel for daring to evolve beyond Kain’s capabilities, but finds himself revived by The Elder God to become his “soul reaver” and to exact revenge.

In addition to the remastered visuals and Quality of Life updates, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered also includes several bonus materials, including an interactive lore map, view never-before-seen concept art, and allowing players to delve into environments from the fabled “Lost Levels.”
