The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 666 is underway! The Boulets have once again upped the ante, nobody is safe, and the extermination challenges are even more… challenging? Frightening, grotesque. Week three’s challenge was Holiday of Horrors with guest judges Tananarive Due and Tatiana Maslany.
Massive spoilers below, so if you have not watched the second episode yet, beware! You’re about to find out the third monster eliminated in season 6. (Catch up on our episode 1 elimination interview here.)
But first, a little breakdown of what’s in store for us this season:
“Spine-chilling, extreme physical feats that will push the cast of drag superstars to confront their darkest fears. This 10-episode season is bigger, bloodier, and more brutal than anything that’s come before, featuring expanded “on location” challenges, twisted new themes for the floorshows, cinematic sequences dripping with dread, and innovative drag that will leave viewers gasping.”
SPOILER WARNING:
First up, episode 3’s Fright Feat challenged the contestants to film a flirty Taimi dating profile, while eating custom Boulet bonbons filled with pig brains and fish sauce. Yum! Asia Consent ultimately won the challenge and used her win to curse Grey Matter with the Mirror Mirror Curse. What is the Mirror Mirror Curse, you ask? Well, once cursed, Grey Matter was only allowed the use a teeny tiny compact mirror while getting ready! Cruel.
Week 3’s floorshow challenge was the Holiday of Horrors, each contestant was tasked with creating a filthy look inspired by a classic family holiday, and performing an act of holiday filth. We saw the holiday gamut, Asia Consent won the challenge with an absolutely filthy Mother’s Day look. Desiree Dik’s Thanksgiving and Yuri’s Valentine’s Day looks landed in the bottom two.
Things got wild in the cauldron post floorshow, drinks (and chickens) were flying as contestants exchanged some heated words. After surviving being turned into a human pincushion last week, Desiree was launched out of an airplane from 18,000 feet along with fellow competitor Yuri.
In the end, Yuri survived and Desiree Dik was sent home at the end of episode 3.
But fret not! We have more Desiree right here! Desiree Dik joined us to talk about needles, Boulet bonbons, heights, that sweet Jennifer Tilly moment from episode 2, and more.
