I Can’t Watch This New CHUCKY Season 3 Clip, But You Should

The second part of Chucky season 3 is rolling right along on USA Network and Syfy after a long break following the mid-season finale last October. Now, we’re coming up on the sixth episode of the season titled Panic Room, which airs Wednesday, April 16, or tomorrow for those reading this promptly after publication. The networks have released a little taste of what’s to come in the form of a new clip involving Henry and Chucky. Unfortunately, for reasons I shall explain momentarily, I can’t watch this clip myself. You, however, most certainly should. Check it out.

So, why is it, dear reader, that I can’t view these Chucky season 3 shenanigans for myself? Because to my great shame, I have fallen pretty far behind on the show. But I also love the show and have every intention of catching up as soon as life provides me the time to do so. That being the case, I’m avoiding spoilers as best I can. Even so, duty calls and this show’s fans deserve a good tease of what’s to come. Who am I to deprive the Fangoria faithful of that? The official synopsis for the show’s current season reads as follows:

“In Chucky’s unending thirst for power, season 3 now sees Chucky ensconced with the most powerful family in the world — America’s First Family, inside the infamous walls of the White House. How did Chucky wind up here? What in God’s name does he want? And how can Jake, Devon, and Lexy possibly get to Chucky inside the world’s most secure house, all while balancing the pressures of romantic relationships and growing up? Meanwhile, Tiffany faces a looming crisis of her own as the police close in on her for ‘Jennifer Tilly’s’ murderous rampage last season.”

We are rapidly approaching the season 3 finale next month. That begs the question; will we get another season? Franchise creator Don Mancini has teased that he has a story for Chucky season 4. Ultimately, it’s in the hands of the networks at this point. Beyond that, Mancini has no intention of leaving the franchise behind if for whatever reason the show doesn’t continue. He recently revealed that he’s also working on a new Chucky movie, which would mark the first time since the 2019 Child’s Play remake that we’ve had a feature-length entry in the series. Here’s hoping that comes to pass.

The cast for the show includes Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Callum Vinson, Jennifer Tilly and Devon Sawa, who is once again playing a new character because he just can’t seem to stay alive for very long. The series executive produced by Mancini, alongside Nick Antosca, Alex Hedlund, David Kirschner and Jeff Renfoe.

Chucky airs Wednesdays at 9 pm CT on USA Network on Syfy.
