From the filmmakers behind Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (and its in-the-works sequel) and the upcoming Bambi: The Reckoning and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare comes the latest movie in this twisted public domain horror universe, Pinocchio: Unstrung.
Jagged Edge Productions has provided Bloody Disgusting with an exclusive first-look tease of Pinocchio: Unstrung this afternoon (seen above), along with the title treatment (below).
What you see up above is actually your first look at a drawing that’ll be featured in the credits of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, teasing out the expansion of this universe.
The producers tell Bloody Disgusting, “Unannounced characters from the universe will be revealed in sketch drawings in the closing credits of Pooh 2 so keep an eye out!”
We’ve been told that the director and cast will be announced shortly. Unstrung will go into production this summer with a theatrical release planned at this time for late 2024.
ITN Studios and Premiere Entertainment are handling sales. Jagged Edge Productions is behind the movie, with Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Jeffrey producing.
