Launch Trailer for ‘Quantum Error’ Dials up the Epic Tone for the Cosmic Horror Shooter [Watch]
Ahead of Quantum Error arriving later this week for PC and consoles, developer TeamKill Media has released the launch trailer for the cosmic horror shooter. The team also announced that thanks to pre-orders alone, Quantum Error has made back its budget.
Appropriately, the launch trailer for Quantum Error kicks off with the sound of a phone call for 911, which turns out to be coming from the Monad Quantum Research Facility. With the facility currently on fire after being attacked by an unknown entity, the Garboa Fire Dept in San Francisco springs into action, sending you—Captain Jacob Thomas—and your partner Shane Costa and a crew by helicopter to the Monad Facility to assist in the rescue of as many civilians as possible.
Of course, once Thomas and his crew arrives, things quickly go south. What starts as a simple mission to save lives from the burning complex, soon descends into a nightmarish cosmic journey that will take you from reality to other worlds where you must fight for your life as well as others. Militant groups, cosmic horrors, and even a hint at a trilogy of games (?!) ensues.
Quantum Error is due out both physically and digitally for PlayStation 5 on November 3, followed by Xbox Series and PC at a later date. Pre-ordering the game from the PlayStation Store grants players three days early access.
