Slitherine Software has announced that their Starship Troopers RTS Starship Troopers: Terran Command will be getting an expansion entitled Raising Hell later this Fall. While no release date has been announced as of yet, the expansion will feature new units, missions, and a completely new environment in the hellish landscape of Gehenna.

With a controlling Federation presence high above the planet’s surface, the unforgiving planet known as Gehenna is a highly profitable resource-rich planet. Unfortunately, the Arachnids have infested the planet, evolving new and dangerous strains amid the harsh volcanic conditions. Once more, the Mobile Infantry is sent, with the Federation’s hardiest fighters doing the dirty work, safeguarding humanity against the ever-menacing Bug threat.

Starship Troopers: Terran Command – Raising Hell features seven story-rich combat missions, alongside a series of new units, including the new Powered Suit Incinerators and Powered Suit Officers, the Mercenary and Vilon Station units, Frag Mercs, Engineering Bipeds and Shredder Mercs. The Arachnids, too, have evolved to spawn new units. These include nimble Stingers shooting superheated projectiles, airborne Pyroflies, and monstrous Immolators.

In case you’re not familiar with the game, based upon the 1997 Paul Verhoeven classic, Starship Troopers: Terran Command puts the player in charge of do-or-die Federation forces in a brutal war against the Arachnid aliens. Terran Command features an immersive campaign with a host of narrative-driven scenarios and detailed characters.

Currently, Starship Troopers: Terran Command is available for PC via Steam. And if you’re looking for a more in-your-face title, keep an eye on the squad-based shooter Starship Troopers: Extermination.
