We previously mentioned Mistaken Visions’ upcoming psychological horror adventure The Piano, with its release date slated for this Spring. Today, along with a new trailer for the game, it’s been announced that the game will see its release on May 24 on Steam for $9.99 USD.
For those that need a refresher, The Piano has been five years in the making, and takes cues from traditional survival horror games, and blends them with a noir-influenced murder mystery. According to developer Jonathan Stemmildt, the game isn’t just about the scares, but features “a deep and personal story that players could become emotionally invested in”.
The story in question concerns the story of a man, John Barnerway, struggling with mental illness in a time when such illnesses weren’t widely understood. After the death of his parents, Barnerway must traverse the streets of post-WWII Paris in order to clear his name.
