Orion, the studio behind The Prodigy and this year’s Child’s Play, is next setting their sights on the viral “Momo Challenge,” partnering with IT producer Roy Lee’s Vertigo Entertainment and producer Taka Ichise to adapt the creepy sculpture that became a viral internet meme into, naturally, a horror movie. The news comes courtesy of Deadline today.

Deadline details, “The sculpture by Japanese artist Keisuke Aisawa was part of a 2016 gallery exhibit in Tokyo and is actually called Mother Bird but its bizarre visage was appropriated last year by the pixel pranksters who concocted rumors about Momo’s Challenge, a sordid game that purportedly encourages children to endanger or injure themselves.”

At this time, the movie doesn’t yet have a title.

As you may recall, another Momo Challenge-based horror movie is also in the works, and that one is titled The Getaway. It’s being directed by Lilton Stewart III.
