Watch Indie Sci-Fi Horror Game ‘Negative Atmosphere’ in Action With New Gameplay Trailer
You may remember we recently covered a game project called Negative Atmosphere, a Dead Space-inspired indie sci-fi horror game made by a small team and developed in Unreal Engine 4. Well, that team, Sun Scorched Studios took the first gameplay demo to video game showcase event EGX Rezzed in London last week, and gained a few new fans at the show.
Now the dust has settled, Sun Scorched Studios has released a four and a half minute video of the demo build for all to see. You can watch it in action below.
I also played the demo last week, and while it’s incredibly early days, it’s already pretty effective at building up an intense atmosphere. The fast-paced shuffling enemies that you see in the video were very much not welcome guests at 2am in the dark with headphones on.
Hopefully, the demo’s showing at Rezzed gets Sun Scorched Studios project picked up so it can help fill that blood-soaked sci-fi horror hole in our hearts that Visceral left when it died and Dead Space was left floating in the cold vastness of the IP graveyard.
Amazingly, this small development team is quite youthful, with the oldest member just 25, and the youngest just 16. You can follow its progress a bit closer by visiting its Twitter or Reddit pages.
