Andy Muschietti Showed Off First ‘IT: Chapter 2’ Footage at #SDCC and Promised Scarier Film
The footage is *not* online and probably won’t be, but the very first look at IT: Chapter Two was shown off at San Diego Comic Con tonight, as part of WB’s “ScareDiego” event.
Via Twitter, we’ve got some recaps of the footage shown, revealing that attendees got their first look at Bill Hader as Richie and James Ransone as Eddie.
Additionally, director Andy Muschietti promised a scarier, more intense sequel…

#Scarediego showed a behind-the-scenes look and brief scene from the currently filming #ITChapter2; it went like this:
Bill Hader: Sup, Losers?
James Ransome: Holy sh*t!
Hader: So what do you guys wanna talk about?
[Pennywise appears]
Muschietti: Bring your adult diapers. #SDCC pic.twitter.com/tr9m9DmpN1— Fandango (@Fandango) July 19, 2018
A bunch of peeks at Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise looking exactly as he did before: creepy as hell! Andy Muschietti says the sequel will be “scarier and more intense” and that we should wear adult diapers to the theater. #ScareDiego @joblocom

Just saw a great BTS of IT: Chapter 2. First look at the actors in the scene where they reunite at the Chinese restaurant in Derry. Some emotional looking peeks of everyone. Bill Hader’s Richie says, “Soooo. What do you guys want to talk about?” #ScareDiego @joblocom

Muschietti returns to direct the sequel, which features the adult version of Losers’ Club members who survived the malevolent Pennywise as kids in the 1980s.
James McAvoy plays Bill, Bill Hader is Richie, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean is Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Isaiah Mustafa is Mike.
Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee and Dan Lin are producing the pic from a screenplay adapted by Gary Dauberman.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on September 6, 2019.
