IndieGogo Campaign Launched for Andrew Saullo’s ‘RESURRECTION: A Biohazard Story’ Web Series [Video]
After teasing fans back in March, director Andrew Saullo has kicked off the IndieGogo campaign for his Resident Evil fan web series, RESURRECTION: A Biohazard Story. The campaign will run for 60 days, and is looking to raise $200,000. Hinging on the success of the campaign, Saullo and company seek to make RESURRECTION the most ambitious biohazard fan project anticipated to date, as a four-part limited series to be released in full, free of charge, on the Residence of Evil Youtube channel. Each episode would run 15 minutes in length.
As detailed in the video below, the series, which will not be tied to official Resident Evil canon (for copyright reasons), will reunite members of the cast of the original Resident Evil cutscenes in Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith, Eric Pirius and Linda, who played Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, Albert Wesker and Rebecca Chambers, respectively. Joining the original cast will be Annie Roig as Jill.
Also joining the cast are Joe Whyte, who is best known for voicing Chris Redfield in the 2002 remake of Resident Evil, Ward E. Sexton, the voice behind the iconic “Resident Evil” title call, and Pablo Kuntz, who voiced Albert Wesker in the original 1996 Resident Evil.
The current plan for RESURRECTION: A Biohazard Story (providing successful funding from the campaign), is to continue with pre-production until August 2025, after which production will begin. Post-production is planned for later this year until Q1 2026, with the release of the series on March 22, 2026, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil.
As one might expect, there are stretch goals once the initial funding is secured. These include additional VFX scenes, a cameo by “The Janitor,” a Vegas theatre premiere and a post-credits scene.
And if for whatever reason you haven’t seen Andrew Saullo’s fan film that started it all, check out The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story, which is available online at the Residence of Evil YouTube channel.
