If you didn’t know, D.O.A. normally stands for “Dead On Arrival,” but in Indianapolis that has been changed this year to “Department of Organ Advancement.” D.O.A. is also the name of the newest attraction at Hanna Haunted Acres in Indy sure to scare the devil out of anyone crazy enough to enter.

This is not a haunted attraction for the faint of heart. In fact, this extreme, full touch, sensory deprivation experience requires you to be at least 16 years old to enter and you have to sign a waiver agreeing to the experience and giving up your rights to security just to get in.

Menacing mutant

You will be hooded. Touched. You will experience a pure type of unknown fear only felt by those put in real danger.

Why would anyone subject themselves to this kind of experience? Well, it’s only the few crazies interested in a true Scary Overload that would dare darken the doors of D.O.A. Anyone showing signs of physical or mental ailments is not allowed in. The owners at Hanna Haunted Acres have to make sure the event is not a true danger to you or the staff putting on the show.

Mutated horror

Here is the premise…

In the shadows of a devilish county, there is a fallout hospital that runs on whispers, scalpel strokes, and the promise of what they call “progress.” The doctor running the operation has been there so long he wears a rotting lab coat, and lures patients in with false cures only to stitch metal into their bones, rewriting their flesh with a faulty genetic code he created deep within this facility. The walls seem to hum with failed prototypes of “progress machines.” Screams are muffled under the hiss of life-support machines that actually take the life-force from you. What is the evil doctor’s plan? Is it to help, or first do much harm?

Visitors to D.O.A. will experience fire, water, wind, darkness and fear. This full-contact experience is separated from the original Hanna Haunted Acres attraction and requires a special ticket. Believe us, the general public will not want to visit D.O.A., only the deranged few will want to “enjoy” it!

D.O.A. is open this season at Hanna Haunted Acres, located at 7323 E. Hanna Ave in Indianapolis, Indiana. There is even a video on this page, but warning: extreme content is not recommended for anyone with a weak stomach…or common sense!
