Colorado Springs Doubles the Fear – the HellScream and Fear Complex Double Tap

Colorado Springs, CO is so beautiful this time of year – the leaves are changing color, the weather can’t be beat, and it actually feels like fall. But something very disturbing is really happening here. And WE LOVE IT!

Scary Overload is excited to add both HellScream Haunted House and Fear Complex Haunted House to our list of Must-See Haunted Attractions in the U.S. These are the 2 most well-known haunted attractions located in Colorado Springs, and luckily, they are part of the same ownership so you can buy combo tickets and see both at a great value. But the events are totally different and stand on their own.

First, though, let’s talk about these experiences. They are both different, and you don’t have to visit both the same night which is really cool. So, you can create a weekend of fun and fear. We’ll start with Fear Complex. It is really big! Fear Complex claims to be the most intense haunted house experience in the area, and we agree. There are 4 different themed areas inside Fear Complex included with admission. The Sanitarium is full of eerie medical experiments and deranged patients, plus a very unsettling funeral scene. Haunted Mines is a Colorado Springs’ classic…an underground labyrinth of abandoned mining tunnels complete with cave monsters and subterranean nightmares. Sinister Manor is a decrepit haunted house overrun by evil creatures and surrounded by a creepy swamp. Finally, 3-D Carnival features distorted visuals, chainsaws, aggressive clowns, all amplified by the provided 3D glasses. Big Scares. Big Fun. Right in the heart of town.

Next, lets experience HellScream. This haunted attraction has been scaring the hell out of Colorado residents for 16 years. You can read the full backstory on their website, but here is the premise: As these stories often unfold, a Dr. Stewart VonHellton lost his beloved (they are always “beloved”) wife Eloise in a carriage accident. Then comes his depraved desperation to bring her back to life through dark science and the occult. Now, this kind of backfired on good-ole Doc as he awakened dark spirits and horrors in his manor house. You can now visit this mansion, exploring a multi-themed, multi-attraction and very terrifying haunted house. HellScream has received accolades by the likes of NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX. It has been named the scariest and best attraction in the area by Scare Factor, Spooky Colorado and others, including Scary Overload. Just check out the super-legit videos on their website! HellScream is also centrally located in Colorado Springs.

As mentioned, you can visit either of these haunted attractions individually or with an affordable combo pass. Either way, this combo of scares, thrills, and chills is an overload of scary and fun for all.
