‘Night of the Dead Simulator’ Available Now on PlayStation; Other Platforms to Follow [Trailer]
If you were holding out for the complete edition of Dead Island 2, PLAION and Dambuster Studios are happy to oblige with Dead Island 2: Ultimate Edition, which will be releasing on October 22. The release coincides with the announcement of a new cooperative horde mode that will be free to all players.
The new horde mode named Neighborhood Watch will be part of Patch 6. Currently being developed by Fishlabs in collaboration with Dambuster studios, Neighborhood Watch will pit players against relentless zombie swarms. As members of the Bobcats, a fresh trio of College survivors, players must defend their frat house In Venice Canals from relentless waves of zombies, using fresh new skills, weapons and traps (a first in the series).
If that’s not enough, Patch 6 will also include a New Game Plus mode, which allows players to dive back into the heart of LA, armed with their favourite characters and weapons to face a whole new set of challenges and rewards. There’s also an additional skill slot and increased level cap, too.
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition of Dead Island 2 will include the base game, players will also get both story expansions – Haus and SoLA – and a plethora of stylish cosmetics and weapons, including the brand-new Kingdom Come: Deliverance II weapon pack. On top of that, you’ll get the following:
- Memories of Banoi Pack
- Golden Weapons Pack
- Pulp Weapons Pack
- Red’s Demise Pack
- All six Slayer’s Premium Skin Pack
Dead Island 2 (check out our review) is currently available on PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
