So Silent Hill 3 turned 15 last week (insert shameless plug for retrospective here), and yeah, it sucks that Konami won’t be giving us a chance to revisit that magical world anytime soon. So, what are our options? Well, Czech developer CBE Software is cooking up something that definitely gives off those Silent Hill vibes in their upcoming first person horror adventure, Someday You’ll Return.
As you’ll see (and hear) from the trailer, the game definitely has some nods to Silent Hill, particularly in the atmosphere. Plus, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. The story for the game has you in search of your daughter, Stela. Seems she has a habit of running away, but this time feels different than before. Your search for Stela leads you to ancient Moravian forests, which holds secrets that should have been left undisturbed. In fact, according to the official site, the game’s locations are based on real-world locations, to which the developers “highly recommend” that you visit.
Powered by the Unreal Engine, the game is set to come out in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
