You may remember a few years back when Gaming Factory and Quest Craft announced Ghost Keeper, their dark comedy strategy title that sees you leading an army of ghouls to take over a Victorian mansion. Well, the game is finally out in Early Access today on Steam, complete with a 15% launch discount available until February 11. There’s also a demo available for the “try before you buy” crowd.

The Early Access version of Ghost Keeper launches with 7 characters to control, 6 unique locations, and an unlockable sandbox mode after completing the available campaign.

As mentioned, Ghost Keeper puts you in the role of the eponymous master of spirits, with your job to take over a Victorian mansion that happens to be inhabited by those pesky humans. You’ll have access to a group of ghosts, beasts, and demons, along with their unique abilities. You’ll also develop their powers throughout the game to wreak havoc and fear.

You’ll need to utilize varied strategies, make good use of your minions’ powers, test your strategic thinking, and always stay one step ahead. There is never just one path to victory, leaving numerous methods and strategies entirely in your hands.

However, the humans aren’t going to be taking things lying down. You’ll have to deal with the “not Victorian Ghostbusters” in the ghost-hating Brotherhood of Light. Eliminating members of the Brotherhood won’t be easy, but will yield you their secrets, and as a result, just might get them off your back.
