Tactical Survival Horror Game ‘Vultures – Scavengers of Death’ Receives New Demo Next Month

Team Vultures and publisher Firesquid Games’ Vultures – Scavengers of Death has had a long road in development, but the release date is almost here. Ahead of that, if you missed out on the game’s demo during Steam Scream Fest last October, you’ll get another chance when an updated demo for Vultures launches on Steam on February 12.

Inspired by some of the most foundational survival horror franchises such as Resident Evil (naturally), Vultures – Scavengers of Death embraces a retro PS1 aesthetic and mechanics that lead to a “tense, horror-filled exploration.” Coming Q1 2026, the game puts you in the shoes of two agents of the VULTURES mercenary unit, who have been assigned to scavenge the infested metropolis of Salento Valley for materials and information that could cure the infection plaguing the world. Each operative with their own combat styles and customize their load out before entering a mission.

Once inside, choose your tactics carefully. You may not want to engage in every battle, sneaking can be a viable option but when you do engage, you must rely on your tactical training in turn-based combat. Aim for vital spots or disable opponents to slow them down. Use any method to get out alive with the target.

The updated demo will give players access to the very first mission of the game, which takes place in a Police Station. You’ll play as Leopoldo, who is on a mission to investigate the last location of Thiago Schultz, a scientist who worked for Eugenesys Corporation, and sought refuge one day before the incident (outbreak). Leopoldo must investigate the station for any records or evidence Thiago may have left behind.
