“They don’t want us to see. But we must bear witness. All of us.”

We are now just days away from the release of Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later, which brings the rage virus back to theaters – and kickstarts a whole new trilogy – on June 20, 2025.

To get you excited for 28 Years Later, Sony has launched an official viral marketing website titled RageLeaks.net this week, but it requires special login credentials to get access.

The good news? We’ve got the password. It’s mementomori.

In addition to counting down to the release of 28 Years Later, the viral website is equipped with various files that build out the world of the infection horror movie, including in-world news reports, audio clips, images, and more. “It’s been almost 28 years since the outbreak,” a message on the site reads. “And still, not a single shred of truth about what’s really going on.”

“After all this time, what are they still hiding?”

The long awaited sequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later puts Danny Boyle back in the director’s chair, with Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Ex Machina, Annihilation) scripting.

In 28 Years Later, “It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.”

Alfie Williams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes star.

The second installment in this new trilogy will release in theaters on January 16, 2026. It’s titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, and it’s directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman).
