Explore, Connect and Survive in New ‘Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’ Trailer [Watch]
To go along with that gameplay reveal earlier this week, Kojima Productions has released a new trailer for the upcoming Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The trailer implores players to “Explore new worlds, connect the network, and fight to survive.”
Currently, Kojima Productions head Hideo Kojima is on a 12-stop tour across the globe to celebrate the launch of the game, with the next location being Sydney, Australia on June 14.
Picking up from the end of Death Stranding, players once again follow Sam (Norman Reedus) as he embarks on an inspiring mission of human connection. Joined by old companions and new comrades, he sets out on a journey beyond the UCA, traversing a world beset by otherworldly enemies to save humanity from extinction haunted by the question: should we have connected?
Whether facing human foes or otherworldly entities, a range of options are at your disposal. Do you go in aggressively, sneak around enemies to achieve your goals, or try to avoid danger altogether? How you approach these situations is up to you. Thanks to the return of the Social Strand System, your actions can affect how other players interact with the game’s world, and vice-versa. Make sure you leave your mark.
Alongside Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker return to Hideo Kojima’s genre defying universe. They will be joined by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning film director George Miller.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches June 26 for PlayStation 5. Pre-ordering the Collector’s Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition allows players early access from June 24.
