New ‘Killing Floor 3’ Dev Diary Delves Into Dark Inspirations [Watch]

Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive today shared the third Developer Diary for the upcoming Killing Floor 3, following its debut during the IGN Live event over the weekend. The final pre-launch video in the series takes fans behind the scenes to see and hear the inspirations for the dark futuristic setting, and how the development team brings it to life through map and Zed design, a brutal metal soundtrack, and bone-crunching audio design.

In addition, the video teases an early look at post-launch content that’s currently in development for Killing Floor 3, continuing the developer’s long tradition of providing live game support for the franchise.

The next installment in the legendary co-op action/horror FPS series, Killing Floor 3 takes place 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2, and megacorp Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds. Now, the only thing standing between these infernal creations and the future of humanity is the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall. You are a Nightfall specialist, joining forces with up to five teammates to battle through a war-ravaged, dystopian future, surviving unrelenting waves of Zeds, unlocking new skills, and building the ultimate arsenal.

Killing Floor 3 will launch on July 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
