Eli Roth, Christopher Woodrow And Veronica Ferres Host Inaugural Luncheon In Honor Of Cannes President

Horror is hot at this year’s Cannes, with the Fantastic Pavilion and The Séance among many exciting genre events happening at the prestigious film festival.
It’s horror maestro Eli Roth’s year too, with the Hostel and Thanksgiving director having received the Fantastic Pavilion’s Golden Key for acknowledgement of his work, influence and reach in the horror genre, and earlier this week hosting an exclusive luncheon alongside Founder of Media Capital Technologies Christopher Woodrow, and Founder of Construction Film, Veronica Ferres in celebration of the festival’s 78th year, as well as honoring the President of the Festival de Cannes Iris Knobloch and President of Golden Globes, Helen Hoehne.
In attendance were notable guests such as Oscar-winner Sean Baker (Anora), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place), model Barbara Palvin, Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life), Amoury Nolasco (Prison Break), Kyle Stefanski (Inside Man), Lorenzo Antonucci (American Satan), Lilly Krug (Plane), Blanca Blanco (Followed) and George Finn (Tbilisi, I Love You).
Knobloch, who previously headed Warner Bros. in Europe, became the first female president of Cannes in 2022.
Media Capital Technologies and Roth’s new independent studio The Horror Section recently announced they would finance and produce Eli Roth’s new horror film Ice Cream Man, as well as the Giallo-inspired Final Cut and a German remake of Roth’s 2015 thriller Knock Knock starring Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas, which Roth will produce.
