Couldn’t make it to Cannes this year? Never fear, because we’ve got the scoop from the Fantastic Pavilion with The Séance, You Know Films’ first-of-its-kind digital show about the market’s genre film buzz hosted by filmmakers and horror content creators, Blair Bathory and Gigi Saul Guerrero, as well as You Know Films’ founder and Fantastic Pavilion Producer Alex Noyer and partnership from FANGORIA and Paramount Scares.
In the latest edition of The Séance, Alex sits down for an exclusive chat with Die Hard 2 and Deep Blue Sea director Renny Harlin, whose orca-attack thriller Black Tides is currently launching sales at Cannes’ Marché Du Film.
Harlin, joined by his wife and producing partner Johanna Harlin, gives Alex the rundown on his legendary career, starting with his introduction to Hollywood through horror movies like 1987’s Viggo Mortensen-starring Prison and 1988’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, as well as his return to horror with The Strangers trilogy, Deep Water and the recent casting of John Travolta in Black Tides.
Check out our exclusive interview with Renny and Johanna Harlin below, and to keep up to date with all the exciting updates coming from The Séance, make sure you’re keeping an eye on and following FANGORIA’s socials – Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
