This third-person title aims to take players on a journey into the unknown, blending the thrill of treasure hunting with the terror of the supernatural.
The story for Pirates Never Die sees players uncovering the mysteries of a cursed island. You assume the role of Deacon, a young pirate in search for his brother after rumours of his disappearance. With the constant threat of zombies attacking and unknown forces of time and death, survival becomes the main goal as you dive deeper into island’s eerie mysteries and psychological hold.
“Pirates Never Die isn’t just a game; it’s an experience that challenges the mind and the senses,” said Leszczynski, sole developer at Konvenant. “I wanted to create a survival horror game that keeps players on the edge of their seats while rewarding them for their bravery and ingenuity in a beautiful dark world.”
Leaning into the atmosphere of the island, Pirates Never Die features haunting visuals and dynamic environments that react to your presence. It’s complimented by the game’s sound design, immersing players in the dark with auditory cues that aim to guide, mislead, and frighten.
And what’s a pirate game without doing pirate things? You’ll be able to dive deep into the art of treasure hunting, unearthing hidden gems and powerful weapons that will be essential for your survival. However, in order to get such booty, you’ll need to solve intricate puzzles, which will also lead you to the truth about your brother and the island.
