Scream 7 continues to round out its cast, with Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect, True Blood, Hysteria!) the latest addition to the slasher sequel, reports Deadline.
Camp joins returning final girl Neve Campbell, returning to her role as final girl Sidney Prescott, Isabel May, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann and Mason Gooding, who will be returning to his role as Core Four member Chad Meeks-Martin.
Courteney Cox and Patrick Dempsey are also said to be circling returning roles as Gale Weathers and Mark Kincaid respectively.
Kevin Williamson, writer of the original Scream, will direct the seventh installment in the legendary horror franchise from a script by Guy Busick. Plot details are still tightly under wraps, other than the detail that the sequel will be a “Sidney Prescott story“, as opposed to the previous two franchise entries, Scream and Scream VI, which followed Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega’s Carpenter sisters.
Scream VI racked up more than $169 million at the worldwide box office, and as a whole, the Scream franchise has earned more than $900 million worldwide and is already in the top ten highest grossing horror franchises ever. If Scream 7 is a hit, the series stands to earn even more.
Scream 7 hits theaters on February 27, 2026.
