Nominations for the 52nd Saturn Awards have officially been announced today, with some of the best horrors of 2024 sweeping up noms left right and center.

The Awards Ceremony, taking place on February 2, 2025, will be exclusively streamed live on Electric Entertainment’s ElectricNOW platform and for the very first time, The Roku Channel, where viewers can watch for free. Created to honor the contributions of horror, sci-fi, fantasy and genre media in general, this year’s edition of the long-running awards show is dedicated to the memory of acclaimed producer Jon Landau (Titanic, Avatar).

This year, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice leads the way for horror film nominations, with 13 nods across the board.

Leading the pack for Best Horror nominations are Abigail, Alien: Romulus, The First Omen, In a Violent Nature, Longlegs, A Quiet Place: Day One and Smile 2.

The Best Thriller category also has some horror-tinged highlights including Blink Twice, Strange Darling and Speak No Evil.

Nabbing noms for Best Independent Film are (among others)  Late Night with the Devil, MaXXXine and The Substance, with Best International Film horror noms being Godzilla Minus One and Oddity.

David Dastmalchian, Kyle Gallner and Michael Keaton are all in the running for Best Actor In a Film, for Late Night with the Devil, Strange Darling and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice respectively.

Representing horror in Best Actress In a Film are Willa Fitzgerald (Strange Darling), Demi Moore (The Substance), Lupita Nyong’o (A Quiet Place: Day One), Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) and Naomi Scott (Smile 2).

Nicolas Cage, Willem Dafoe and David Jonsson receive nods for Best Supporting Actor for Longlegs, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Alien: Romulus, with Barbara Hershey (Strange Darling), Margaret Qualley (The Substance) and Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus) for Best Supporting Actress.

Alisha Weir receives a hugely deserved nomination for Best Younger Performer for Abigail, with Jenna Ortega and McKenna Grace for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
