Following yesterday’s news that Damien Leone’s slasher sequel Terrifier 3 was returning to U.K. and Irish cinemas, Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have announced that the festive bloodbath will also be re-released in U.S. theaters to celebrate the Christmas season.
Terrifier 3 will return to theaters for a limited run starting on Christmas Eve and including Christmas Day, so you can do a Nosferatu double bill with Art the Clown himself.
Officially the highest-grossing unrated movie of all time, Terrifier 3 slashed its way across the global box office earlier this year following its October release, scaring up a huge $88 million off a $2 million budget.
Starring David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown and Lauren LaVera as final girl Sienna Shaw, Terrifier 3 also saw Samantha Scaffadi and Elliot Fullam returning as as Victoria Heyes and Sienna’s little brother Jonathan respectively.
After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother are struggling to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind.
But just when they think they’re safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The festive season quickly unravels as Art unleashes his twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.
Terrifier 3 also boasted appearances from VFX legend Tom Savini, Jason Patric (The Lost Boys), Antonella Rose (Fear the Walking Dead), Krsy Fox (Little Bites), Clint Howard (Ice Cream Man), Jon Abrahams (House of Wax) and Daniel Roebuck (Final Destination) as Santa Claus.
