Celeste O’Connor (Freaky, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) has joined the cast of Scream 7, where they’ll play an as-of-now unknown role in the upcoming slasher sequel.
O’Connor joins returning final girl Neve Campbell who’ll be returning to her role as Sidney Prescott, as well as Isabel May who was recently announced as playing Sidney’s daughter.
Scream 7 will be directed by series co-creator and Scream (1996) writer Kevin Williamson and written by Guy Busick from a story by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. The slasher is set for release on February 27, 2026 via Paramount.
Alongside O’Connor, Campbell and May, Patrick Dempsey is apparently making a return as Detective Kincaid, and Courteney Cox is also reportedly in talks to return to her fan-favorite role as Gale Weathers.
Plot details for Scream 7 are still firmly under wraps, but it’s been established that it’ll be a “Sidney story”, following Scream 5 and Scream 6’s focus on Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega’s Carpenter sisters.
With the cast of Scream 7 fleshing out, we can’t imagine it’ll be too long before we hear more.
