Shout! TV and Scream Factory TV have been bringing us horror double features every weekend in October curated by horror-loving legends. Fittingly dubbed “Handpicked Horror,” the scream-worthy streaming event is curated by Mike Flanagan (The Life of ChuckThe Fall of The House of Usher, The Haunting of Hill House) and Kate Siegel (Hush, Midnight Mass), Akela Cooper (M3GAN, Malignant), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Terrifier 2) and Tracie Thoms (Death Proof, 9-1-1).

The handpicked double-feature selections include special introductions from the curators that delve into why each film made the list. Stay tuned for an upcoming streaming event from Mike Flanagan & Kate Siegel, coming to Shout! TV later this year. To celebrate, Felissa Rose joined us earlier this month to answer some of our burning horror questions.

Last weekend, Tracie Thoms programmed a block of killer features: Black Christmas, The Slumber Party Massacre, Night of the Living Dead, Day Of The Dead, The Stepfather, Witchboard. As we enter the last week of the Handpicked Horror Marathon, we’re asking Tracie Thoms some pressing horror questions exclusively for FANGORIA readers.

First up, Tracie Thoms debates which horror subgenre she’d most likely survive. (Trick question, because she’d actually survive them all.)

Scariest horror villain is a tougher question, and a very personal one. What scares you? Demons? Supernatural entities? Slow-moving serial killers who can afford to leisurely stalk you in the night?

With Tracie’s musical theater background, we would be remiss to not get her opinion on the best horror musical of all time. What does she ultimately choose? Find out below.

For those who may not know, Thoms is an avid (and I mean avidFriday the 13th fan, so we had to throw some Jason Voorhees questions into the mix.

Thanks, Tracie, for playing along! Check out this weekend’s full programming schedule for the Shout! TV and Scream Factory TV Handpicked Horror Marathon below.
