Indy’s Original Haunted Hayride
A haunted hayride conjures images of a family fall outing. Everyone sits in the back of the wagon, filled with soft hay, pulled by a tractor through the woods. Sounds fun, right?
It is a lot of fun…but also terrifying! Hanna Haunted Acres, located right in Indianapolis, is Indy’s original haunted hayride. We’re talking a full mile-long hayride, pulled by a tractor, full of hay, just like you imagined. The trail runs through the woods at Hanna Haunted Acres, traveling through set designs like you’ve never imagined.
Fire…
Explosions…
Giant Animatronics…
Evil Scary Characters…
And of course, chainsaws!
A haunted hayride is something you can bring kids too, especially if they are really into horror. But it is really scary. Scary enough to be a perfect date night (hint – lots of hand holding and hugs!). Scary enough to keep those kids up at night. People often say that Hanna’s hayride is the highlight of their fall visit. It is just one of many attractions at Hanna Haunted Acres, but probably the most loved, and the most fun.

Everyone talks about wanting to be scared at a haunted attraction, but we feel it really is about having fun, right! The act of being scared, especially with your friends, is fun. Hanna Haunted Hayride delivers on the fun factor in a big way.
You’ll also tour 5 different haunted attractions at Hanna in addition to the haunted hayride. There is Bitten, a house that has been infested by a coven of vampires. Stalker Farms, a seemingly peaceful farm inhabited by Ma and Pa Stalker and their menagerie of children that would like to harvest You! Do your protein shopping on a trip to Cannibal Chaos, a barn/organ harvesting facility run by brothers Munch and Rowdy. Dark Echoes is a section of dark woods taken over by an evil occult being. And finally, Freakshow is a circus gone bad, full of creepy clowns and directed by the most charismatic Ringmaster ever.
Keeping the “fun” going, Hanna offers the Boneyard Midway, full of games, food and even a bar for the 21+ crowd. A scream park bar…we love it!
If you’ve never been to a haunted hayride, or just want to experience an Indy original, you’ve got to visit Hanna Haunted Hayride for the most fun you can have in the woods. And your GA ticket also includes all the spooky haunted houses.
