Just in time for the Christmas season, Michael Mohan’s Immaculate is headed to 4K UHD and Blu-ray on December 17.
The Sydney Sweeney-starring nun horror hit theaters in March of this year via NEON (who once again aced the marketing by including controversial pushback on the posters) and had a digital, Blu-ray and DVD release later in summer.
In Immaculate:
“Sweeney stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.”
Alongside Sweeney, Immaculate also stars Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Alvaro Morte (Money Heist), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God). The script was penned by Andrew Lobel.
The 4K release comes from NEON and Decal Releasing, with a whole host of special features (listed below), including interviews and commentaries.
Speaking directly with FANGORIA, Mohan expressed his excitement about the film coming to a 4K format:
“My physical media collection is a tangible reminder of my identity. Even to glance at a title on my shelf conjures the memory of first seeing the film, in a way that browsing thumbnails on a streaming service does not.
And on a 4k disc, there really is a difference, where you can see the finer details of all the craftsmanship that went into making it. I’m thrilled that IMMACULATE is coming out in this way, and feel honored for it to be included in people’s personal collections.”
Pre-orders for Immaculate are now open where ever you get your physical media goods.
