Myha’la Herrold (Industry, Bodies Bodies Bodies) has joined the cast of They Will Kill You alongside previously announced stars Zazie Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Heather Graham and Tom Felton, Deadline have announced today.
As we previously reported, They Will Kill You is the first movie from Andy and Barbara Muschietti’s (Mama, It) newly founded horror label Nocturna.
Written by Kirill Sokolov (Why Don’t You Just Die!) and Alex Litvak, with Sokolov attached to direct, They Will Kill You follows:
…a woman who answers a help-wanted ad to be a housekeeper in a mysterious New York City high-rise. She doesn’t realize she is entering a community that has seen a number of disappearances over the years.
Myha’la (as she is sometimes known mononymously) was one of the breakout stars of A24 and Halina Reijn’s comedy slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies, in which she played Jordan, one of the members of the chaotic hurricane party, alongside Rachel Sennott and Amandla Stenberg.
In 2023, she also starred in the Black Mirror episode ‘Loch Henry’, playing a true crime sleuther.
Muschietti’s 2017 It and its sequel, 2019’s It: Chapter Two, were box office gold, racking up a combined box office total of $1.17 billion, making their decision to launch a horror-focused label pretty much a no-brainer.
The Muschiettis are also currently working on Welcome to Derry, Max’s It prequel series starring Pennywise himself, Bill Skarsgård.
No word yet on when we can expect to see They Will Kill You on screens, but we will bring you the relevant updates as they roll in.
