After dabbling in Dead by Daylight cosmetics, Slipknot are now doing a little cross-promotion for Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. In a new video, three members of the group – Clown, Eloy Casagrande and New Guy – describe their relationship with their masks, and comment on those inspired by the game, created by Jim Ojala of Ojala Productions, which you can see in the video below.
The trio share their impressions of the sculpted masks that were inspired by the demons Gurulu, Daemon, and Loup-Garou from the game. They further share their unique perspective on masks, the iconography of the demons of Vengeance, and how the band’s own masks affect their creative process.
“I love movies, I love prosthetics, I love masks,” says Shawn Crahan, aka Clown. “So, seeing [these masks] help me remember what I love. The process, what it is, bringing it and making it tangible. That’s an incredible thing.”
And if you dig these masks, you’re in for a treat. These masks featured in video will be available for three lucky fans in the Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance x Slipknot Demon Mask Sweepstakes (one mask per winner). Each mask will be signed by Clown, Eloy, and the new guy from Slipknot. You can head over here to enter the contest.
Meanwhile, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is available today for the Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
